This zero angle grip absolutely revolutionizes the AR platform. The angle is a lot more comfortable and suitable to my use for close-quarters home invasion protection as it allows me to better tuck in my elbows better. My posture and control changed to feels more natural compared to the stock mil spec Magpul plastic grip that my AR15 came with. The grip is pretty thick and cushions the hand well. To some it may not be a good thing as it may not allow you to get a good grip if you have smaller hands or stubby fingers. I can see this becoming the standard.

When these are talked about they are usually in reference to longer precision guns, but i actually hated the way standard and even other angled grips felt on my shorter AR’s. It always felt like my wrist was being forced into an unnatural position. It doesnt help that I’m really tall with long arms. but i instantly fell in love with this after putting it on my honey badger, and I immediately ordered 3 more for other AR’s including my long range precision ones. A zero degree grip angle isnt just for bolt guns in a chassis. Its a natural hand position for all my gas guns too. These are going on every AR from here on out. I’ll be shcocked if these aren’t more maintream in the near future. So comfortable…….

I purchased this for my polymer lower and it does not fit properly. Also, the bolt that came with it is a 3/16 not a 1/4. I bought this from Midway and will be returning it.

I wish these would have been available years ago. This is truly the optimal grip angle for a modern fighting rifle. This allows a better, more natural grip, especially when wearing armor. My wrists are damaged from years of fighting(kickboxing) and make it painful to use angled grips. These are truly a game changer. Thank you for finally getting the grip plug for it also. Sorry but should of been available when the grip came out. Anyways, these now adorn all my rifles that will fit them. Waiting for the AK version next. Keep up the excellent work.

OMG!!!!
I have found exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve tried other grips but never truly satisfied until I installed this beauty. I’m recommending this to everybody that wants a comfortable grip to shoot and train with.
The turn around for getting my order out was quick.

I used the original Tactical Deluxe grips for quite some time and really fell in love with them. Since I got large hands the options are very limited and those grips were my favourite by a large margin. They just fit like a glove.
As time went by and I learned and experimentet a lot with shooting technique, the way I set up and mount my carbines changed. Nowadays I’m a lot more square to the target with my upper body, and decreased the leght of pull on my stocks. This led me to try out new grips with a straighter angle, to cause a more natural wrist angle.
The first zero angle (flat top) grip wasn’t suiting me well, because as someone with large hands (and long fingers) I need the back of the grip extended backwards, to put more distance to the trigger for a proper and relaxed trigger finger placement.
As I realized this new one came out, I was pretty pumped and ordered some to replace the K2Xls I used in the meantime. Unfortunately I am a bit disappointed. The back of the grip is closer to the trigger than on the original Ergo Tac Deluxe, so for large hands/long fingers it leaves some to be desired. But the bigger problem to me is (and I got that confirmed by other shooters aswell) is that the location of the “ergonomic” features is pushed up a bit too much, causing your middle finger to be pinched against the trigger guard quite a bit. The more oversized the trigger guard is the worse. Never thought I’d experience a “glock knuckle” with a pistol grip that is designed with ergonomics in mind.
I’m currently giving it a try to see if I can live witht he compromises, It’s just a little bit frustrating that it could have been perfect but then fell quite a bit short… I just hope Ergo makes an update or another version, otherwise it seems like a lot of potential wasted.
Personally, the best AR-15 pistol grip experience to me up to date is the original ergo tac deluxe on a mesa tactical shotgun stock adapter, which puts the pistol grip at an angle that makes the original tac deluxe almost a straight grip.
